Easy, simple and quick mounting and removal
The roof is pulled open like an accordion and attached to the camper or caravan with foam blocks and straps.
The VanProtect rests on the roof of your camper or caravan on 4cm wide straps, which are under tension. Mounting time required approx. 25 minutes. Thanks to a light weight and a «bow»-system, VanProtect is simple and fast to put up. All you need is a step-ladder, no other tools. There is no need to drill any holes or make other changes to your camper, which is only being touched by straps and foam blocks. The straps at front and back are simply hooked to a suitable point under the car, while the lateral straps pass completely under the vehicle. This very simple mounting procedure will make you use it also when standing for a shorter period of time. Air-conditioning units, Antennae, side-rails etc. are no hindrance.
Pre-assembly: Arching the tube
Pull the strap and arch the tube at the same time. Then introduce the end of the tube into the pocket sewn to the end of the strap. The arched tubes (or bow) can remain under tension for future use.
Light and easy to store
Example: A VanProtect Roof for a 6m camper weighs less than 30 kilos and stores in a package measuring approximately 20cm in diameter and 3m in length.
Time required
Preparing the new roof for initial mounting will take approx. 2 hours. The first mounting might take approx. 1.5 hours, subsequent mountings can be done in 25 minutes, removal even less.
